Janice Comyns came to live in Israel in 1971 from Scotland. She is a graduate of Glasgow University with a B.Sc. Hons in Biochemestry and re-trained in Israel as a qualified English Teacher. She taught EFL – English as a Foreign Language - in Israel for the Raanana Municipality for many years, and as a volunteer in both Ramat Hasharon and Raanana for 15 years in the ESRA Tutoring Program. As well as being a committee member of the English Speaking Branch for the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel’s Soldiers (A.W.I.S), she is also an active member of the English Speaking WIZO Group in Raanana. Janice is married to Dr. Cyril Comyns and they have 4 children and 8 grandchildren, 5 of whom have/are still serving in the IDF as well as a granddaughter who is presently doing a year of National Service prior to her mandatory army service.
